My Bose OEs have given up after 4 years, with about a year of that having had a folded post it note putting pressure to keep the connection working.
These have been brilliant but the equivalent Sound True model is £150 which is a bit steep this time of year.
Any recommendations around the £75 mark?
I prefer over ear and have really liked the deep and clear sound of the OEs.

Curry were doing some Bose headphones for £75 when I last looked. Had my Bose ones for over 10 years now. Still working and a great sound.

mix through 6 different headphone?
why don't you just use monitors?
- make it sound godd on shit - and it'll sound great on anything
that was the theory they came up with for mixing in the 70/80's

Just in case anyone suggesting missed it, I got some Bose AEs for less than half price.
Looked at the AKGs but I'm used to that Bose sound.

I'm using them in a studio on my own. They have an amazing sound. I wouldn't use them on the tube.

don't Grado's leak badly?? - you might as well strap two speakers to your ears as everyone will hear anyway

Right. Well. I mix with some small bose speakers most of the time. I then try the mix out on the different headphones. If I need to be quiet I use the Grados. When I check the mix out theres always something on one of the headphones that doesn't sit quite right but I'm getting used to what to expect so I'm getting better at predicting the sound on all of them. Tea is the stimulant of choice.

Thanx BRANDED
GRADO it is
What kind of stimulant does one use in order to endure mixing with 6 different headphones? Nicotine? Caffeine? Cocaine? ORANJEBOOM? Nothing? That'd be most impressive.

Scraper.
Someone said to me a couple of years ago that everyone listens to music on headphones now. So I mix on 6 different headphones bearing in mind everybody uses different ones and I want a mix sounding as good as possible on all of them.
My favourite headphones are the Grados but after about an hour they start to make my ears hurt a bit ( physically not through sound). That said I've not found any that don't really.
For 50 quid the AKG Y50s are a good sound if a little bit TOO bassy hiding a bit less definition in the mids that you get with the Grados.
I don't use noise cancelling headphones as I like to know when I'm going to die.

I would recommend you look at the headphones that John Lewis stock. 2 years warranty is perfect for when headphones usually break around the year mark of constant use
